You can increase visibility for your business while supporting talented area athletes through sponsorship of the Junior Gaels Football Club!
Let's talk about how you can increase brand visibility while showing your support for our players, their families and the game of football in Southeastern Ontario. Leverage the passion and enthusiasm of our AAA tackle football program and make an emotional connection with our families and fans to promote your brand.
Corporate sponsors help our Jr. Gaels Football Club offset costs to keep local football affordable for players and their families. Expenses associated with running the Junior Gaels Football teams include field and facility rentals, insurance, buying equipment, travel expenses, paying trainers and officials, league fees and so much more. With your help, registration fees can be kept as low as possible to encourage these athletes to remain active in football.
Our Sponsorship Package introduces opportunities for you to support the Junior Gaels. Please take a minute and choose the level of support that best suits your brand needs. Your interest and commitment, through your sponsorship, will help build a strong and lasting relationship with our community.
HELP US LEAD THE WAY IN IMPROVING SPORT SAFETY AND HIGH PERFORMANCE THROUGH SCIENCE!
The Junior Gaels not only provide an excellent forum for athletes to improve
their performance and to gain exposure for post-secondary play, but the club is also
helping improve safety in football but also among high-contact sports as well such as hockey, rugby and soccer.
This ground-breaking work is through a partnership with two
Kingston entities: CESAP (an education platform aimed at educating athletes,
coaches and parents); and The Neuroprotection Project (a data-gathering and
information analysis group). Both non-profit organizations are run by
Neuroscientist Allen Champagne. In the 2018 season, Champagne’s Project
collected data on 120 players, through the use of GoPro cameras, helmet sensors
and MRI scans and repeated tests mid-season and post-season by the team at Elite NeuroKinetix.
The information was then analyzed and an intervention plan
was created by CESAP. Four drills were designed for our competitive teams (introduced
during the second half of the season for 15 minutes every practice) to improve
the most significant areas of concern per session, in a sample of athletes studied using head-mounted accelerometers.
The result was an incredible 30% reduction in head impact.
The introduction of Rowan’s Law in Ontario was a fantastic step forward to
increase concussion awareness in sport. We’re taking that further, to prevent
injuries through targeted, improved movement. Not only is it making the sport
of tackle football safer, but our athletes are also performing better. And this
is critical for high-performance athletes and negates common assumptions that
increased safety comes at the cost of performance. We’re thrilled that Elite NeuroKinetix is
taking our data further - using it to educate athletes in other sports as well.
Our program makes our coaches accountable – they know
(through science) exactly what their athletes need to work on. It also makes
parents and players accountable – they are educated and have a better
understanding of their own risk. Together with the Neuroprotection Project and
CESAP, the Junior Gaels are focused on fewer injuries, better performance and
But our commitment to safety also comes as an added expense
for our program. It is an investment we believe is critical for the 2019 season
– so we can measure where our returning players are at, as well as where our
new players need assistance, and to create new interventions. With positive
results from this season, we will create a model for sustainability of this
program into the future. Your support can help make a difference in the safety and
performance of the Junior Gaels this season. It costs about $50/player for
filming, analysis and creation of interventions, an added $5,000 to our season
costs. In addition, we want to ensure our players have reliable, quality
equipment. We need to make a significant investment in helmets within the next
year as well.
